ADR, IMDG, IATA (små lithiumbatterier – vej, sø og fly)
Om kurset
Dette dagskursus er målrettet personer, som afsender lithiumbatterier, der kan håndteres som undtagede batterier i henhold til farligt gods reglerne. Disse batterier omfatter groft sagt alle de batterier, der findes i håndværktøj, bærbare computere, mobiltelefoner, powerbanks og lignende. Udstyr, der indeholder sådanne batterier skal ligeledes sendes efter samme regler.
Du lærer om reglerne og kravene til forsendelse af små lithiumbatterier sendt som vejtransport (ADR sb 188), søfragt (IMDG sp 188) eller luftfragt (IATA section ii) herunder
- at identificere og klassificere batterierne
- hvilke krav, der stilles til kvaliteten og dokumentation heraf
- hvordan batterierne skal emballeres, mærkes og hvilke dokumenter, der skal udfærdiges
Kursus, opgaver og prøve afvikles på en blanding af engelsk og dansk. Der kræves, hvad der svarer til ca. 9. klasses engelsk sprogfærdigheder for at følge kurset.
Efter bestået afsluttende prøves fremsendes kursusbevis.
Kurset afvikles i samarbejde med DG Safety Group.

Target Groups
Shippers & cargo handling personnel involved in the transport of “small” lithium
batteries.
Course Objective
Gain the competencies required to properly identify, classify and handle shipments containing lithium
batteries for air transport according to the current edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations
(DGR) manual. Understand the legal responsibilities involved with the transportation of dangerous
good. This course only covers Section II lithium batteries.
Course Description
Interactive classroom course: All information will be presented by means of handouts, slides, video’s,
practical exercises, group discussions and games. The course will end with an open book
examination.
Prerequisites
DG knowledge – not required – this is a beginner course.
Language
The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and all course material is in English. The
classroom facilitation can be given in English, Danish or Swedish.

- General philosophy. Battery & IATA knowledge.
- Classification: What different kinds of Batteries are there?
- Packing: How to properly package a Sec II LiBa shipment.
- Marking/Labelling: How to correctly mark and label a Sec II LiBa shipment.
- Emergency procedures
- Work instructions in compliance with IATA DGR 1.6
- Security Provision
Certificate awarded
A Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and final exam. Minimum required
for certification is 80% correct answers.
Recurrent training must be provided within 24 months of previous training to keep validity of
certification and to ensure up to date knowledge.
