Om kurset
Dette kursus er målrettet afsendere af lithiumbatterier, der skal transporteres som farligt gods med fly. I modsætning til det almindelige IATA Basic kursus, som varer tre dage og kvalificerer afsender/shipper mere bredt til luftfragt af farligt gods, så er dette kursus målrettet lithiumbatterier.
Sender din virksomhed udelukkende lithiumbatterier, kan dette kursus derfor anbefales, da du på bare to dage inkl. bestået afsluttende prøve opnår viden og bevis på, at du må sende batterier.
Kursusbeviset er gyldigt i 24 måneder, hvorefter du skal forny det, hvis du fortsat ønsker at sende batterierne.
Kurset afvikles i samarbejde med DG Safety Group og er naturligvis godkendt af Trafik-, Bygge- og Boligstyrelsen.
Undervisningen foregår på en blanding af engelsk og dansk, mens undervisningsmaterialet, opgaver og prøve er på engelsk. Der kræves, hvad der svarer til ca. 9. klasses engelskfærdigheder for at følge kurset.

Target Groups:
Shippers of all types of Lithium Batteries.
Course Objective
Gain the competencies required to properly identify, classify and prepare shipments containing lithium
batteries for air transport according to the current edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations
(DGR) manual. Understand the legal responsibilities involved with the transportation of dangerous
good.
Course Description
Interactive classroom course: All information will be presented by means of handouts, slides, video’s,
practical exercises, group discussions and games. The course will end with an open book
examination.
Prerequisites
DG knowledge – not required – this is a beginner course.
Language
The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and all course material is in English. The
classroom facilitation can be given in English, Danish or Swedish.
Duration
2 Days (16 hours) – 09:00 – 17:00 (both days, plan your travel arrangements accordingly)
What you will learn
- Understand the basis and applicability of the IATA DGR
- Understand the limitations and apply the states and operation variations
- Identify the 9 hazard classes
- Apply the applicable special provisions
- Apply the provisions for packing, marking and labelling of dangerous goods shipments
- Complete the transport documentation (dangerous goods documentation and air waybill – AWB) and any other accompanied documents
- State the relevant emergency response and reporting procedure
- Security provisions.
Certificate awarded
A Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and final exam. Minimum required
for certification is 80% correct answers.
Recurrent training must be provided within 24 months of previous training to keep validity of
certification and to ensure up to date knowledge.
